Did you know that you, along with your neighbors and friends can be trained to save lives and prevent further damage in the aftermath of major disasters?

Riverside County Emergency Management provides residents of the Coachella Valley with outstanding training opportunities through the CERT program (Community Emergency Response Training).

Members of the community with little or no experience in disaster response can be trained to become effective first-responders.  This is a "hands-on" 20-hour course that will help your community survive following a major earthquake or other devastating disaster.  Proficiencies include first-aid, light search-and-rescue, fire suppression, and many other techniques and skills.

Check the CVPDN Events Calendar for CERT Training opportunities near you.
